Zombie Solitaire is a very nice and fun Solitaire.. Just like this first chapter this is another good solitaire game!

Before a great review, I have to say this: I was playing with an invisible mouse (and yes, I tried almost everything to fix this) and instead of giving up (because you know you don't want to) -> it gave me more of a challenge and it is doable: if you don't play full screen and you approximate your mouse point and click - you can actually get through the game pretty well. The small elevator button will take some time though, but that's okay. I am glad that Match 3 and some other options have highlights on them, if you hover over - this way you can also get an estimate on your mouse location. That said... it all led to an extra challenging gameplay, BUT it was FUN and worth it!!!

I like and super enjoy these type of games and find them interesting. This one definitely fits the category. The music\/OST is amusing as well (this includes the crisp card sound effects and spooky theme and special effects). You get to find out more of what happens\/where you are going to escape from "you know who" (many of them). Along the way you face card battles and at times: Match 3 games. Match 3 were the hardest. They require the most luck (in my opinion \/ based on skill level). Sometimes you find a pretty sticker and you feel excited! You also get a scenario with an event. Now onto more games!!!. Do you like "b" zombie movies with no production values? Do you like zombie movies with little or no plot? Do you like buggy zombie games that make no sense? You can see where I am going with this... I finished "chapters" 1 and 2 but ran into way too many issues and won't be playing chapter 3.

Game is a mish-mash of high-low card, match 3 and hidden object games and unfortunately none of them are good.

The high-low card game is basically way too easy and it seems that some of the levels were gimicky, especially at the end of each "chapter". Each chapter had at least one level where you had to use the "zombie blaster" (a bomb) to destroy half of the layout. If you looked in my library, you would see that I have quite a few of these type of card games, and in general the ones I have purchased have been challenging and the special cards you can buy such as wild cards, bombs, etc add nice strategy elements to the gameplay. Here, not so much. There are only four "power up" cards, a one card remove (Zombie Slap Baseball Bat), a two card remove (Zombie Killer Shot Gun), a whole stack remove (Zombie Blaster Bomb) and a Joker (Timed Clown). In reality only the shotgun and the bomb are useful. In fact I have never really seen a stack destroy or time wildcard implemented in a game like this before. The bomb especially makes most of the "harder", later levels trivial.

Now for the match three levels. These can not have been game tested by the devs. The game gives you a choice of two difficulties on these levels. First there is "normal" which has a turn limit, and in theory anyway, allows you to obtain three stars for killing all of the zombies and removing all of the special tiles from the grid. Then there is "casual" which has no turn limit but only earns one star when the level is completed. After about three of these levels in chapter one, you eventually figure out that "normal" mode is pretty much a waste of time. The turn limits are extremely low and the number of zombies, the odd layouts and technical issues make them nearly impossible to win on normal. So you might as well play "casual" and kiss some of the acheivements based on number of stars goodbye.

The hidden object levels are mainly just to move the "story" along. They give no stars, no gold and are really just an annoyance. Even worse in chapter 2 they become down right irritating as they give no indication what you are actually trying to find.

Then we get to the bugs and poor design descisions. I had several times where legal moves both tn the match 3 and card levels would not register even with wild cards in the solitaire levels. These would eventually clear up after a few frustrating minutes where the game would eventually "wake up" and accept the move. Also in the solitaire levels, the Zombie Killer (Shotgun) and Zombie Slap (Baseball Bat) had odd behavior in that when you used them they would also draw the next card from your deck. This eliminated all strategy in using these cards. Say if I was trying to play on a 2, and an 8 was covering the 3 I needed, I could shotgun the 8, but then the next card was drawn and my 2 was gone.

Anyway I would not recommend these games. I bought them on sale and am disappointed I spent money on the two chapter bundle.

in Zombie Solitaire 2 - Chapter 3, you wake up in a orient hospital and and it seems that all employees are no longer alive. You escape continues. We created 100 NEW Level, put some small adventure parts and improved the game based on the community feedback. For example: The PowerUp Cards (like the shotgun) will not more interrupt your combo. What is it about?

Darkness fell upon the world. Dark portals appear throughout the land. It is up to the knights to protect their kingdom and stop evil from spreading and taking over the world.

Game mechanics

Prepare your units for battle by choosing the skills they master and equipment they wield! The main map has lots of possible random encounters and events that you can participate in.

Engage the evil enemy in turn based battles and show who's the real owner of the land!

After one map has been completed - the game state is saved and player can choose the permanent perks (getting more resources from some events, unlocking new units, etc) before the next map is started.

Flawed, but a pretty good little game.. Really fun game!

I like the time management, do you rest\/send some peasants on a quest\/wipe some invaders?

Ressource management is fun too (different resources are used to enhance the kingdom\/recruit new units\/teach them more skills...)

The turn based combat is playing out fine and each class (three at the start with more to unlock) really has its weaknesses\/strong points.

I really don't get the negative reviews for such a low price (under 1\u20ac\/1.20$ during sale). Again, don't expect to spend 60+ hours with Blades of the Righteous, but i bet i'll spend a few\/some fun hours and looking forward to finishing the game at least once on Normal difficulty after an "Easy" run.. Pretty fun and surprisingly deep for the price. Also harder than it looks, even on easy difficulty. Suffers a little from unforgiving RNG which can sometimes feel unfair.

The game mechanics are pretty straightforward and turn based, there are two separate parts to the game, the strategic part where you collect resources which you spend on upgrades to your kingdom or recruiting and upgrading new units. Random events pop up which allow you to go questing or seach for resources or treasure items that you can equip to your soldiers, or you can focus on healing your units or researching new technology. Or you can choose to fight tactical battles against the enemies, which you have to fight before your kingdom gets overrun.

The tactical battles are played on a relatively small grid filled with terrain obstructions. Placement of units seems fairly random and there doesn't seem to be any way to set a formation for your units to stay in. You can get badly screwed by initial placement pretty easily especially if you're going with a team of glass cannons like rogues and mages. I've only played about an hour but so far I found these battles pretty tough. The enemies are equivalent if not superior to all the units available to you at the start, so you'll need to team up and at least plan to use 2 units of your own for every 1 enemy, and even then it can be a close thing if the RNG goes their way.

Anyway, it's a challenging but fun game with a surprising amount of depth, and it's cheap. Give it a shot!. enjoyed this.. enjoyed this.. It's bad.

The difficulty is artificially boosted by really weirds mechanics, you just don't play with the same rules as the ennemies.

Every single ennemy can always use a skill in the support phase and got a mean to attack\/act in the attack phase. You can't, because your troops aren't in range or need a target or plain can't move far enough to act.
Everything can move over 4 tiles. But most of your troops are limited to a 2 tiles move. Combine that to the fact that a bunch of ennemies got a ranged attack in either support or attack phase ( or both ) and you understand that the few HP of your troops aren't going to stay for long.

You don't have ranged attacks. Well, the mage can, but his damage are crap and most ennemies are either immune or highly magic resistant. Which invalidate all the curses and skill of the mage except the healing. There's no ranged troops at start, maybe one is unlockable by a random event but never saw it. But it don't matter, I don't see why a bat can use a ranged attack or an orcs can throw an axe ( for 5 HP damage, while any kind of damaging MELEE skill you can use only deal 2 or 3 ) while none of my thief, brigand or viking can.

The battlefields are really cluttered and your troops scattered in a way that really hinder you. If you got a viking ( occupying 2x1 tiles ) you will get stuck a lot, being unable to reach anything with him because you get a bush or rocks every two tiles. You can't move in diagonal, which force you to lose 2 to 3 turns just to get in position. While ennemies keep on fragging you from range.

You can only do one action per turn while on the map. Either your troops rest, or you dig a treasure, or you do an event, or you attack or you send peaseant to get ressources. While groups of monsters respawn every 3 or 4 turns, making any kind of progress impossible. You plain can't deal a bunch of event without ressources, you get these ressources one at a time by events ( costing you 1 turn ) but you need to waste a couple turn to heal your troops after each fight.
So the game is like that : Do one battle, spend 2 turns healing, do ONE event ( ressource, random quest or treasure ) then fight the group of monster who just appeared, rinse and repeat. It's boring and tedious, especially with how unfair the battles are.. Pretty fun and surprisingly deep for the price. Also harder than it looks, even on easy difficulty. Having played one run through of this i have to say i like it in a freaking me out kind of way.

The game itsself is pretty cool. the voice acting isn't great. But the premise and the puzzles are pretty cool. There are a couple of things that still detract from the whole VR promise. There is a sheet covering something up in room no matter what i try i cannot uncover it. Why? My hands are there just peel it back but nope!

If you fancy playing a interesting and immersive game then check it out. The replay value is slim, maybe a couple of run throughs until you solve it. But at the price point i would say its worth it.

. A nice escape room with horror elements (probably nothing for people easily scared) and a timelimit of 1h.

The puzzles are quite challenging. Had to play it twice to beat it.

A main critic point is the flashlight as other stated. The batteries lying around everywhere (and there are enough for the 1h time) don't really look like batteries. I first realized that they are batteries when I accidentally put one in the back of the flashlight. So maybe the model should be changed that they look more like batteries.

Also there is much stuff lying around you can not interact with most of it, which is a bit sad. So most of the things you can pick up are needed for solving the puzzles.

The game does not detect the left\/right hands from SteamVR. The first controller that has been powered on is the left hand. Had to switch my controllers after starting the game and seeing my hands are wrong.

All in all the game is definitely worth it's money and it's better than many other vr escape rooms here on Steam.. This is actually hard, and I like that. I've played it a few times and haven't been able to figure it out yet, but I get further each time. It was recently updated with graphics options that can get rid of the blurriness that some people talk about. I haven't seen any jump scares, but it's scary in a tense kind of way.. Hello, Everyone

Fogin. Very good escape the room. Plenty of intractable objects and fun puzzles.. I've tried a few other VR escape games, but this one was better than most. It's definitely a bit dark so don't put the kids into this one but if you're looking for a memorable VR experience, look no further.

Like to chew gum and shoot zombies? Yeah? Cause we’re all outta gum… luckily, there is no shortage of zombies, weapons and ammo in this damned city... Carnivore Land, come for the thrill stay for the kills!

Something smells rotten… it must be the zombies… oh yeah... there are zombies. Lot's of them... and bad guys that are trying to kill you... with guns, lots of guns... and cake, nope, scratch that, no cake (it’s a lie)... just zombies that are going to have a party on your corpse if they catch you! So, in a way… you are the cake...

Oh, and it’s all top down. Yeah, you look from above and shoot and kill and loot and... wait… what rhymes with kill? Anyway, you shoot some more and then...guess what! More loot! And you have a teammate. What? You thought we were gonna let you alone in a dark, cool looking, scary city, full of evil residents that either want to eat you alive or shoot you on sight? No, you have a teammate, that follows you around… and you do missions together fighting hordes of infected meat-cake wanting zombies and paramilitary groups.

The Story

Carnivore Land is a 3D top-down shooter for Windows, Mac OS and Linux, developed in the Unity engine by dwCrew. The game flirts with the comedic horror genre and features fast paced action, tons of weapons to use and enemies to shoot.

Way after the zombie apocalypse and movie cliches, the war between humans and the infected has ended. Humanity now lives in safezones, while the rest of the world is filled with quarantined cities, mausoleums to the old society before the war, occupied only by paramilitary groups and zombies. Everything outside the safezones either wants to add you to his caloric intake or practice his marksmanship skills on your bloody corpse, hence the nickname of the world, Carnivore Land (#omg #captainobvious).

Along with your teammate, you are dropped into a city, that has been destroyed from the war, and are tasked with finding a mysterious package. But you’ll have to deal with the residents first, which include meat eating infected and paramilitary soldiers that play lets-fill-them-up-with-lead a lot.

To help in your struggle against the hordes of the undead and enemy soldiers, you are equiped with your standard issued rifle and pistol. However, due to unknown paranormal reasons (must be something they ate), sometimes when killed, the zombies drop various items for you to use. These items include some weapons (some? try over 30! yeah, over 30!), grenades, armor and silly hats (how can I look silly when I’m wearing a bloody top hat?).

So, wear your helmet (or bucket), pick up your rifle (or boomstick) and try not to become a permanent citizen of Carnivore Land. a09c17d780

Very disappointed in what looks like a fun game! I know this is a early access but i cant even play the game! The controller constantly shoots by itself and even if it does work (rare) if me and my gf die she gets autorevived and cant move. Just walks in place and restarting the mission does nothing i have to back all the way out to get the game running again but then most likely i cant use the controls. Please help as we wanted to play this game. First and foremost, I don't really like twin stick shooters all that much and if I didn't know who this guy who created this is, I probably would have passed on this. That said...
  
  A lot of people who see this game do not understand what this man has done for the indie community. He is an inspiration and a visionary who takes his time and creates tutorial classes and I guarantee a lot of indie developers would not have released their games had it not been for him. Anyone who has seen his work on Youtube, C Sharp Accent Tutorials need to buy this game and support what he is doing. I'm glad people like him are in this world. You're an inspiration to me and I will have a game coming out soon because of your support.
  
  Now, as for the game. It's initial humor is pretty hilarious and a creative loading screen. I'm not a fan of twin stick shooters, as I said, but the controls are solid and amooth and I actually found it fairly enloyable. Coming from me, that's saying something. Aiming is not too terrible. With twin stick shooters it's always a little terrible but It beats the hell out of HellDivers controls-wise, pardon the pun. Glad you guys put co-op in there. That's a plus.
  
  That said, one thing other games like this do is have permanent upgrades. That would be a nice touch. I can't see a health-bar and I die pretty quickly. User-error I'm sure but that's something. The load times were pretty bad for me at first but once I turned the graphics and anti-aliasing down and off respectively, it speed it up. I don't feel it should do that but you know. I'll live.
  
  All and all, it's a good game and I hope he continues to do what he does. Keep up the fight guys.. the game is bad \uff0cno more words

  Is it overpriced at $5? Yes, you'll get 10-20 minutes of gametime out of this, max. But... it's pretty cool being a cat. The goals make sense and are easy enough to figure out. The controls for walking are a little wonky because you can take really huge steps with one stride. The jumping made me a little nauseous, but that seems to be common with jumping in VR. Overall I'm glad I got the game and played through the whole thing. My biggest wish is just that there was more to interact with because it's fun playing in this perspective :). I can't downvote this, because it fulfilled a childhood dream of mine to play a 3d game where you're a cat.
  
  That being said, this game isn't very good. Let's start with the good.
  - Good movement system
  - Seems reletively polished
  - Achievments to do, things to find
  - You do cat things, scratch things up
  
  Now for the bad:
  - Only one room
  - World scale is way off, you're more the size of a mouse, not a cat
  - Your paws are also tiny
  - In 5 minutes I'd seen everything the game had to offer
  - No music, not much going on with the sound effects or ambience either
  - No overarching goal or points system
  
  My ideas for this:
  I wish there was more life in this game. It seems like it has potential. Maybe there could be some mice to catch, or birds to pounce on, if you could go outside. Some fish in a fish tank to kill? Rough up other cats? A points system to tie this all together with a timer until your owner gets home?
  
  So, in conclusion, was it worth the $5? Probably not. But I'm still thumbing it up for fulfilling any part of my unlikely childhood dream.. You can finally be a furry!. 2\/10
  Very dull game. Not much to do. No scalability for graphics either (and not well optimised).. Let me be clear, this is a $6 game and I did not expect much from it to begin with... It's a cute idea but comes off as a test project for a student. There are some massive issues with scaling and positioning of the user while in the environment. Adding in a reset environment floor or even some ability to move vertically would bring this up to a recommendation from me.
  
  - Items and environmental elements I've seen others jump onto in videos make my version simply fall through them.
  - Half of the interactive items are below the floor level (restarting nor resetting my room scale corrects this)
  - Movement via the triggers is not intuitive, perhaps use the right trackpad for jump and the left for movement? Yes, I get what you're trying to do here but it doesn't really translate well IMO.
  - Jumping needs a lot of work. Sometimes you jump perfectly to where you want then others you completely miss. Perhaps a full path shown on screen to where you will land? This would make navigating onto elements far easier.. Pros:
  - Very realistic graphics.
  - Funny concept.
  
  Cons:
  - Motion sickness GALORE. Made me never want to play it again (But it may vary from person to person)
  . its a good game, but i wish there would be more rooms and more updates, because im just doing the same thing all over again.. Cute game - You get to be a cat! Had a little trouble reading the tutorial as the text was a little thin - so it took me a minute to figure out the controls without. It's a fun novelty game. I think it would be neat if in the future there was dlc for more locations and objectives! That would add more replay value!. Well, you're a cat. Really not much else to say. There's a few achievements to work towards, and a littler scavenger hunt for hidden pawprints. Not much replay value, but I feel it would be a good introduction to show somebody the basics of VR. 5 bucks is a little high I feel? but what VR game isn't overpriced right now?
